Open LOOD

Privacy

LOOD is free, has no ads and never sells your data. Here is what stays on your phone, and what an account keeps.

On your phone

Your shelf, your places and bookmarks, your settings, your own files and pasted texts, and your Keep scrapbook are kept in your phone’s browser. You don’t need an account to read.

Read a photo finds the words in your picture on your phone itself. The photo is not uploaded.

LOOD guesses your country from your phone’s settings, only to show the books that are free to read where you are. You can change it under “Where you read”. It never asks for your location.

With an account (optional, 13 and over)

If you sign in, LOOD keeps your email address and a backup of the things above, so you can bring them back on a new phone. Sign-in is a code sent to your email; there is no password to remember.

Accounts are stored with Supabase, and sign-in emails are sent by Resend.

If you send a suggestion, LOOD keeps what you write, and your name and email only if you give them, so the Librarian can reply.

No ads, no tracking for ads

There are no ads in LOOD, nothing tracks you for advertising, and your data is never sold.

Taking it with you, or deleting it

Save a backup file at any time under Your library, saved on LOOD’s About page. To delete your account and everything in it, tap your library’s sign on the shelf, then Delete my account. To clear LOOD from your phone, remove it from your Home Screen and clear the website’s data in your browser.
